Among the most popular are the New Years Sun Rise Festivals. If you can't make it of the city just head up to Namsan Mountain like I did to watch the sun rise on New Years Day in Korea. To learn more visit the Korea Tourism Org.
January 28-29 Taebaek Snow Festival: There are several groups taking tours such as Adventure Korea. Go Caving at Yongyeon Cave and hiking with the group while taking in the beautiful views of the mountains.
